Touching base

R2I has taken a shape of it's own and it's driving us now and not the other way around. We have the final date set in stone : May 14th it is. It twists my stomach to even imagine what it's going to feel like, to just say Good bye to the land that's been home for 13 years. Anyway, not the time to get emotional. The shipping date is about 2 weeks away, so we're scrambling and running around, buying stuff. So many to do lists and so little time...... Will try to post again soon.

choxbox: That's cool! It seems to be a trend now.

Vidya : I totally agree with what you said, but frankly, walking the walk is very difficult. I mean, if our mind was always set on going back, things would have been much easier (I presume) but since it was a change of mind in the last few years, it's very difficult to cope with the fact that we are indeed saying GoodBye forever. Added to that the physical task of moving is a monster. We feel so drained out that every now and then we ask ourselves, why on earth are we doing it? Ofcourse we always find the answer and move on to the next task on the list :)

I totally agree with the "walking the walk" part. We are moving locally and its a lot of things to take care. I can (only) imagine how daunting it is to move with kids, esp for good.
But just want to reiterate that the intent was to make you see the brighter side of the deal and nothing else.
I wish and hope that you will have only nice things to post when you blog from India.
