What a momentous day! Elon Musk has once again persevered, proved his mettle. Since I've recently finished reading his biography, my respect for him has just increased that much. Like Steve Jobs said - "people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do." All the innovations he's made - the all electric car, tapping solar energy, economic space travel - are inching towards the sustainability of our future generations. I feel pity when I see people amassing wealth, properties for their children and grand children, while hoarding plastic bags from vendors, trashing plastic bottles, washing their precious cars in flowing water jets, wasting food....plundering the earth and hence the very basis of the existence of these generations. Cannot fathom the insensitivity of these people. More on this ranting later.
Tharini had tagged me to write about a material object which holds lots of memories and here it goes.... My husband had gifted me this CD on our 2 nd anniversary and right the next day we'd moved into an 8 th floor apartment with a sweeping view. There we used to listen to this CD almost every evening, sitting in the balcony. Anytime I pop in this CD, it magically transports me to that place. I can see the apartment floating in front of my eyes, the layout, the view, the roses we had in the balcony, the conversations we used to have.... everything. I remember even the distinct smell of our stinky dishwasher ;) Anyway, it's one of my favorite CDs to this day. I particularly like the second song : 'The Mummers' dance'.
